Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
To which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends he will,
But which it only needs that we fulfill.

Senior Seminar here I come...

This is a short update of the week

  • Dr. Menuge sent his letter of recommendation for my paper for the ETS (Evangelical Theological Society) student paper competition
  • I procrastinated on the writing of my paper while I read the infinite number of sources I have from the great and glorious CUW library
  • Wednesday night (actually Thursday morning) I stayed up until almost 3:00 am to finish a decent draft of my paper
  • The great and venerable TLeaf ripped my paper apart and demeaned my intelligence
  • I rewrote the whole paper to conform to his totalitarian dogmatic corrections
  • I sent, today at 11:30, a draft of my paper to the person who will be reviewing it for possible selection in the student paper competition
  • I became nervous the second I sent the paper
  • I returned to the library to check out three more book, now totaling 50!

Well, this has been my week. I cannot wait for next week, which, as far as I know, will be a bit of a break compared to this week.

WHEW!

(NB. two points are not true and not one by the name or nickname of TLeaf should be offended unless otherwise noted)
